Visiting Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea in Silverthorne was a great way to start my day. I had a delicious breakfast burrito and some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted.

It’s centrally located, so it makes it easy to make it part of any morning or weekend routine. Plus, the cafe has such a laidback vibe that I totally understand why so many people were sitting and chatting or even working remotely.

If you’re ever looking for something to do in Silverthorne, I highly recommend getting coffee at Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea. Not only will you get to try their amazing coffee, but you may even strike up a conversation with locals; especially on weekend mornings when everyone in town seems to be there!

Attend the Silverthorne Fine Arts Festival

Attending the Silverthorne Fine Arts Festival is always one of the best things to do in Silverthorne! The festival is completely free, so it’s easy for everyone to come and enjoy some amazing art.

It usually happens in July each year, making it a perfect summer event to attend with friends or family. The 2023 festival was the 5th annual event.

House of Vibes Coffee & Curio is one of the best places to start your day in Silverthorne, CO! It’s a local, family-owned spot where they serve up fresh-brewed small-batch coffee and delicious sandwiches. I stopped by for a chai latte and a sandwich, and I was not disappointed.

The coffee at House of Vibes is ethically sourced. You can really feel good about what you eat here!

What really sets this place apart, though is its vibe – it’s always buzzing with energy and conversation. It’s easy to see why so many people love coming here for breakfast or lunch.

Visit Dillon Reservoir

Enjoying Dillon Reservoir is a must. It’s a stunning bright blue lake surrounded by mountains, perfect for spending a day out in nature. There are also many great hikes in the area that offer amazing views.

And if you’re into music, Dillon Amphitheatre is the place to be, as it offers a variety of shows. I was lucky enough to catch a concert for one of Noah Kahan’s Stick Season tour performances, and it was such an incredible experience. The venue has a very laid-back vibe and is super intimate, especially when compared to Red Rocks.

See a Show at Theatre SilCo

This performing arts theater is bringing outstanding theatrical productions to the area. You can easily buy tickets online for their upcoming shows, which have included productions like An Iliad, Head Over Heels, The Half-Life of Marie Curie, and much more.

Spending a night at The Pad was one of the best experiences I had during my trip to Silverthorne.

Not only is it an incredible hostel, but for a price that can’t be beaten, you get access to a variety of amenities, including free wifi, outdoor activities, and social events. Plus, the staff and other guests are incredibly friendly and welcoming, so you definitely feel right at home.

The Pad is also located right in the center of town and offers easy access to all the shops and restaurants that Silverthorne has to offer. During my stay, I was able to explore the area freely without worrying about transportation or looking for something to do—it was all right there!

Dine at Mint Steakhouse

The Mint Steakhouse in Silverthorne is a must-do for any traveler to the area. Not only is it the oldest building in Summit County, having opened its doors back in 1862, but you also get to grill your own steaks! What could be better than taking part in a truly authentic dining experience?

    Take in the view at Lily Pad Lake

    Lily Pad Lake is a real hidden gem in Silverthorne, CO. It’s a 3.3-mile moderately challenging route, but the view at the end is definitely worth it.

    When you reach Lily Pad Lake, you’ll be blown away by the stunning lake filled with vibrant lily pads. It’s one of those places that will take your breath away and make you feel like you’ve stepped into a magical world of tranquility and beauty.

    Keep in mind that on average, the trail does take about an hour and a half to complete. It is open year-round, and dogs are welcome if they are on a leash.
