Hey, I’m KP!
Back in 2012, I read the most amazing book when I was just 14: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Immediately after reading it, I scoured the internet trying to find other books just like it and stumbled upon a genre in Young Adult called dystopian, which was pretty much just a branch of sci-fi.
Before long, I was starting my own blog to share my love of books. In July 2012, Downright Dystopian was born. For years, this little corner of the internet served just as a place for me to share my love of reading… until 2019.
In 2019, I was a junior in college. I had always dreamed of studying abroad, and ended up spending the spring semester at University College Dublin in Ireland and loved every second of it. While I was abroad, I managed to visit 13 countries and 30+ cities, and I truly did reveal a whole new love of adventure that I didn’t know existed.
Shortly after returning home from my time abroad, I changed Downright Dystopian into Volumes & Voyages, a place where I could share adventures both literary and real.
