I was lucky enough to visit the Cliffs of Moher while studying abroad in Dublin in 2019, and I loved going with a tour group because I had an experienced guide with me the entire time.

First up is this incredible Cliffs of Moher trip from Dublin. It’s easily one of the most popular tours because its price point is very budget-friendly. Of course, the price may fluctuate throughout the year, depending on if it’s peak time to visit.

The tour is about thirteen hours long, so you get a lot of bang for your buck. The tour departs right from the Molly Malone Statue in Dublin 2 in the early morning to get you to the Cliffs of Moher before it gets too busy there.

A tour guide and transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, which is perfect if you happen to be visiting during the summer. You’ll pass and/or stop at Galway’s Latin Quarter, Galway Bay, The Burren, and the Cliffs of Moher.

Cliffs of Moher, Burren, and Galway Bay Rail Tour from Dublin ($$)

To get from Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, consider booking this rail tour. It’s approximately fifteen hours long, so it is one of the longer tour options you can take from Dublin. It’s long because it includes many more stops along the way, so it’s a bit more scenic!

The tour starts at Dublin Heuston Station downtown and leaves around 7 a.m., so it’s early morning. You’ll have a reserved seat on the train and a tour guide who will stay with your group at all times.

From Dublin, you’ll take the train over to Limerick, and you can even have breakfast on the train ride if you’d like. Once there, you’ll have a bit of time in Limerick to explore with your guide, who will give you a tour.

After, you’ll take a bus over to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, where you’ll stay and explore for an hour and a half before heading over to the Cliffs of Moher for two hours. Lastly, you’ll pass by the Burren before getting an hour to explore Galway’s Eyre Square before heading home for the evening.

Cliffs Of Moher Premium Tour from Dublin with Ailwee Caves ($)

This is definitely one of the more unique Cliffs of Moher day trips from Dublin! It leaves in the morning at 7:15 a.m. from the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street and lasts about thirteen hours in total.

What makes this tour different from other Cliffs of Moher tours from Dublin is that it includes quite a few interesting stops along the way! The main point of interest is the Cliffs of Moher, but the first stop is at Ailwee Cave in the Burren. It’s the biggest cave in Ireland, and you’ll get a guided tour of it included in your ticket price.

Next, spend forty-five minutes at an old tomb called Poulnabrone Dolmen, dating back to 3600 BC. After, spend an hour in Doolin exploring the area or head with the rest of the tour group to grab lunch at local favorite Fitzpatrick’s Pub. Lastly, stop at the Cliffs of Moher for two hours before heading home to Dublin!

Cliffs of Moher Private Full-Day Tour From Dublin ($$$)

If you have a much larger budget, this very well may be the best Cliffs of Moher tour from Dublin. It lasts about twelve hours long and is a bit pricier but is perfect if you want more of a personalized experience during your trip. 

The tour includes private transportation, wifi on the ride, and an air-conditioned vehicle. Depending on where in Dublin you’re located, the tour may leave anytime between 8 and 9 a.m.

Stops along the way include Clonmacnoise (an ancient ruin spot) for forty minutes, the Cliffs of Moher for an hour and a half, and Bunratty Castle and Folk Park for an hour and a half.

Unlike other tours on this list, admission to these spots is not included in the price, as a lot of what you’re paying for is for a more private day with a personalized driver. What also sets this tour apart is that you can tailor it to your interests, meaning you can swap out any of their suggested spots for whatever you want to custom-tailor your itinerary.

Private Luxury Cliffs of Moher Day Tour from Dublin ($$$)

This is another fantastic Cliffs of Moher tour from Dublin that’s a bit more private! It allows a maximum of five people to experience the Cliffs of Moher in a more intimate setting as far as transportation goes.

The tour is ten hours long approximately and includes luxury transportation with air conditioning and USB chargers at each seat. Snacks and water are also included, in addition to a fun tour guide who will keep you entertained along the way.

There are many stops with this tour in particular, including thirty minutes in Kinvara, fifteen minutes at The Burren, a drive by Galway Bay, an hour at Doolin Pier, an hour and a half at Cliffs of Moher, a drive past Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, and forty-five minutes in Doolin. Note that admission to the Cliffs of Moher is not included in the tour price.

Last but not least is this tour which actually includes a boat ride, which makes it stand out amongst other Cliffs of Moher tours! This one, in particular, includes a boat ride at the Cliffs of Moher from the Doolin Pier.

This tour includes admission to the Cliffs of Moher, private transportation, and all fees. It leaves around 8:30 a.m., and you’ll be picked up at your location of choice, which is one of the great things about booking a more luxurious tour.

In total, the tour is about twelve hours long. This is an excellent way to truly explore and experience the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher and Ireland’s coastline, but it requires a bigger budget than some other tours on this list.
