Bryce Canyon National Park is one of the most beautiful and unique places on earth. Located in southern Utah, it is a photographer’s paradise with an amazing variety of landscapes to explore. From the hoodoos to the Bryce Amphitheater, there is so much to see and do in this incredible place, and the best way to see everything is by booking one of the Bryce Canyon tours.
The tours in Bryce Canyon offer something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a leisurely hike through the hoodoos or an adrenaline-pumping ATV ride through the backcountry.
Here are 9 of the best Bryce Canyon tours that will make your trip unforgettable!
First up is this scenic tour of Bryce Canyon. It’s one of the lower-priced tours of the park, making it great for those who are visiting on a budget but still want to tour with a guide.
This tour is approximately three hours long and is capped, so it stays with just a small group. Throughout the tour, you can learn about Bryce Canyon National Park’s history, get great attention and details from your guide, and see the park’s top highlights.
There are also a few inclusions on the tour, like snacks and bottled water. You will have to get your own park pass, and it’s suggested to bring some cash as a gratuity for your guide. This tour starts right at Bryce Canyon Resort!
If you’d rather not have a tour guide and you’d prefer to explore Bryce Canyon on your own time, this self-driving audio tour is a great option. The way it works is you get access to an app with a password that will lead you throughout the park!
Overall, this tour takes a bit less time, at around two to three hours, depending on how fast you decide to go through. You can also make it take longer if you want it to; it’s truly up to you.
Throughout the self-guided tour, you’ll learn about all of the hoodoos, viewpoints, and history of the area. The tour also doesn’t expire, which is awesome, and it works offline in case your service isn’t good in the national park.
This hiking experience tour is an incredible option if you want to experience the beauty of Bryce Canyon by hiking. The tour is about five hours long and includes bottled water, snacks, and drives in an air-conditioned vehicle.
The tour starts right at Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours in Bryce Canyon City. This isn’t far from the entrance of the park, which is awesome. Plus, the tour begins at 9 a.m. so you can rest assured that you’ll be beating a lot of the mid-morning crowds.
While the tour is subject to change depending on weather and the park’s conditions, some of the hikes on this tour in the past have included Navajo Loop (one of our favorites), Mossy Cave, and Queen’s Garden.
Explore southern Utah up to Bryce Canyon’s rim on horseback with this tour! It’s family-friendly, though everyone on the tour must be at least 7 years old. Plus, it’s open to all skill levels, making this one of the fun Bryce Canyon tours for those who are visiting with younger family members.
These rides are walking horse rides (so you go at a slower pace) as you explore southern Utah, either on a short ride through the forest or on a longer one out to Red Canyon. (They offer a few different tour options.)
With a maximum of two people per tour, this tour is capped, allowing you to actually enjoy the tour and not just feel like another number. The houses are extremely well-trained, and you may even see some wildlife along the way.
Are you looking for one of the Bryce Canyon tours that include hiking and a picnic? You’re in luck! This one is a perfect option, and it lasts about four to five hours on average.
This tour is personalized and completely private, so the tour guide actually takes the time to customize the tour based on your interest. The guide will bring you to some of the top trails while also teaching you about Bryce Canyon’s history!
Once you’re done with the hike, you even get to head over to Sunrise Point where you can enjoy a decadent charcuterie spread with everything you could possibly want. You get to eat it all while enjoying a view! Bottled water and pickup from your accommodation are also included.
One of the unique tours of Bryce Canyon National Park is to go on an ATV-guided ride like this one! The tour is about an hour long, which is the perfect length of time to explore the area on an ATV.
With this tour, you’ll ride an ATV while following a guide. You will be able to go all the way to the Bryce Canyon Rim to see everything that the park has to offer. By being on an ATV, you’ll also be able to experience the beauty of the park in a way that you normally wouldn’t be able to.
The great thing about this tour is that they are two-person dune buggy-style ATVs, so you can enjoy the park and the ride with your friend or family member. It’s definitely one of the most unforgettable Bryce Canyon tours that you can take!
Slot canyons in Utah are incredibly unique, and you can experience one up close on this tour right outside of Bryce Canyon National Park. This tour is approximately two hours long and includes a small group, so it is capped.
On the tour, you’ll head out near the Grand Staircase National Monument and see two different slot canyons. Each one is incredible, and Willis Creek even features a breathtaking waterfall that you’ll want to snap photos of.
Because of the nature of this tour, you will have to prepare to walk a lot. Around a mile and a half of walking on rugged landscape takes place on this tour. Do not forget to bring your hiking boots!
One of the most fun hikes that we’ve done while in Bryce Canyon National Park is the Peek-a-boo Loop Trail. Luckily, with this tour, you can experience the hike with a guide!
This is one of the Bryce Canyon tours that’s a bit more expensive, but that’s because the length is around 7 hours total. The tour covers 5.5 miles of land, with quite a bit of elevation gain, so you’ll want to wear comfortable hiking boots and lots of water.
After finishing the Peek-a-boo loop, you’ll come back up on the Queen’s Garden side, so you can get different views the entire time. You’ll also see Thor’s Hammer and the famous Wall Street!
The tour begins at the North Campground General Store, and you’ll be provided with drinks, snacks, lunch, and even hiking poles. Along the personalized hike, you’ll learn all about what you’re seeing!
Last but not least on this list of Bryce Canyon tours is another full-day private hike. This tour is between six to eight hours long and includes hotel pickup, so all you have to do is show up ready to go.
This day hike also includes lunch, but you’ll want to bring an ample amount of water. One thing we always suggest is to pack a backpack with a water bladder because it’s easier to carry and will include a lot more water than a regular bottle.
The tour starts bright and early at 8:30 a.m. so you can avoid the crowds. It starts at Sunset Point and then goes to the Queen’s Garden trail. It continues so you can take in the view from Bryce Point and Inspiration Point, and even add on the Peek-a-boo Loop trail as well if you want a challenge.
We hope you enjoyed this post about the greatest Bryce Canyon tours! This is by no means a definitive list but is a selection of some of the more unique tours in the area.
A tour is a great way to enjoy the park if you’re on a strict time limit, which will allow you to see the best parts of the park and learn without having to plan your whole itinerary yourself. However, if you’d rather spend a day in Bryce Canyon on your own, that’s totally doable too!
