Plus, the pool is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains and forests, so you can truly relax surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes.
The pool is also large enough that there is plenty of room to swim, play, and relax. Even when it’s busy, you can normally find a section of the pools to yourself. (Consider getting there earlier to avoid crowds, though, or visit in the off-season.)

Hike the Doc Holliday Trail

There are a lot of hikes in Glenwood Springs, but the hike up to Doc Holliday’s grave is one of the best, especially if you’re a fan of the TV show Wynonna Earp. The hike up to the grave is short, but there is quite a bit of elevation gain.
Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the valley below. The trail leads to an old graveyard, so you’ll have to walk through to try to find Holliday’s grave.
Once you get there, you’ll see that they wrote on a sign by his grave that they aren’t even quite sure of where he was buried!
Peruse Cooper Corner Gallery
The Cooper Corner Gallery is a great place to visit in Glenwood Springs for several reasons.
The gallery showcases the work of many different local artists. This means that there is always something new and interesting to see on display. They’re newer in town and recently celebrated their 6th anniversary!

This gorgeous lake is nestled in the mountains and is a beautiful sight to see. The hike up to the lake is more on the difficult side because of the elevation gain, so you’ll want to be prepared. The length of the hike is only around 3 miles, which isn’t too terrible.
Once you reach the top, you can relax by the refreshing waters or just enjoy the stunning views.
As of 2022, a permit with a timed entry is needed to hike this trail. You can book your reservation on their website.
Relax in the Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves

If you’re feeling stressed at all, the vapor caves will truly make you forget it all with how refreshing they are. You relax in there for about 10 minutes then switch to another room to cool off, and repeat.

The drive through Glenwood Canyon is a must-do for anyone visiting Colorado. We pass through it every single time we are driving across the state, and we immediately get quiet and take in the view.
