True love can't be strategized.
After book blogger Vivian Galdi’s longtime crush pretends their secret summer kissing sessions never happened, Vivian creates a list of safe crushes, determined to protect her heart.
But nerd-hot Dallas, the sweet new guy in town, sends the mission and Vivian’s zing meter into chaos. While designing software for the bookstore where Vivian works, Dallas wages a counter-mission.
Operation Replacement Crush is in full effect. And Dallas is determined to take her heart off the shelf.
I was originally drawn into The Replacement Crush because of the gorgeous cover. Sometimes, it’s okay to judge a book by its cover because the book is just as amazing!
The Replacement Crush featured a mother and daughter who both love books. I mean, the synopsis even says it: Vivian is a book blogger! That instantly makes her a relatable character to so many readers out there. Plus, Vivian’s mom actually owns a bookstore and she also writes novels. I mean, how awesome is that!?
Dallas worked in a bookstore. He was actually working at Vivian’s mom’s bookstore. Therefore, he was pretty awesome and amazing. Vivian and Dallas had the cutest chemistry. Also, the book was just so nerdy in general. What’s not to love!? Plus, a big chunk of the book actually took place at the aforementioned bookstore. Seriously, this book is a book blogger’s dream.
If you like nerdy contemporary novels with an amazingly relatable main character and an even better love interest, then The Replacement Crush is the novel for you.
